  1. type in movers in google and most likely the first page will be full of quoting companies where you submit your move date and movers bid over your business. it’s a lot better than the yellow pages days.

Don’t always assume the best is on the first page when you search, ask around, you will surly find your local movers with the most experience and old school pride in their work are not too tech savvy! You will find honest, dependable “bed buggers” which whom would put a “high end” agent to shame. Referral…Referral…Referral! Nottingham Moving Service, Waverly TN, over 100 years “family” combined experience.

  3. I agree with Lora: Referrals and references are important.

Best way to get reliable movers is to ask people you know who had good experience: Ask friends, family members, co-workers.

Even if you don’t, always get 3 good references from a moving company. By “good” I mean 3 contacts that moved recently. Do not settle for an email – always get a phone number and talk to references.

Choosing the right is choosing the right, from my experience I only care about the term that is written in the moving contract. All other details given over the phone can change after signing a moving contract. That’s why you should always ask your movers a copy of their moving contract prior to paying a deposit.
