type in movers in google and most likely the first page will be full of quoting companies where you submit your move date and movers bid over your business. it’s a lot better than the yellow pages days.

Don’t always assume the best is on the first page when you search, ask around, you will surly find your local movers with the most experience and old school pride in their work are not too tech savvy! You will find honest, dependable “bed buggers” which whom would put a “high end” agent to shame. Referral…Referral…Referral! I agree with Lora: Referrals and references are important.

Best way to get reliable movers is to ask people you know who had good experience: Ask friends, family members, co-workers.

Even if you don’t, always get 3 good references from a moving company. By “good” I mean 3 contacts that moved recently. Do not settle for an email – always get a phone number and talk to references.

Choosing the right is choosing the right, from my experience I only care about the term that is written in the moving contract. All other details given over the phone can change after signing a moving contract. That’s why you should always ask your movers a copy of their moving contract prior to paying a deposit.

We also recommend our customers to contact moving companies directly, no one else can give a better estimate than the mover himself. Before you make your final decision, read reviews of the company you chose online, speak with a sales representative, and if needed ask for an on-site visit. Try to schedule your move for off-peak dates (NOT 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st, 1st) and your move will be smoother and most likely cheaper. If you have any concerns make sure to express them before you move so that your company can make the necessary arrangements. Good luck with your move!

House Moving is one of the difficult task, because you may lose many of your objects at the time of moving, like you may even lose screen of your T.V or so many other, so it’s better to consult with the proffessional removal firms.

  7. Monarch Movers Group says:

Reputation can be determined from the willingness of the mover supplying the potential customer with ample referrals. Don’t be afraid to ask for over 100 (names and numbers of past customers)…!

Hi, pls beware of Pickfords. I am currently in the middle of a move from UK to Australia and they are adding charges by the day (after contract signing)….the latest is variance in FX costs they want to pass on. Other’s include freight charges have increased, need to refill dox etc. Their service is bad and they refuse to substantiate any additional cost. I’ve move 8 times internationally in 15 years and will never use Pickfords again! Philip Best
